New Jersey’s coastal climate is demanding on exterior paint. Salt air, freeze-thaw cycles, and summer humidity conspire to degrade finishes faster than in inland regions. Prime Finish Painters has spent fifteen years developing an exterior painting process specifically calibrated for Monmouth, Ocean, and Middlesex County homes. We begin every exterior project with a thorough power wash, followed by hand-scraping any loose or peeling paint and spot-priming bare wood. We use elastomeric coatings on stucco and masonry surfaces, and 100% acrylic latex on wood siding and trim. Our exterior work is warrantied for three years against peeling and adhesion failure under normal conditions. We do not paint in temperatures below 50°F or above 90°F, and we monitor weather forecasts to ensure adequate dry time between coats.

Our exterior painting work is performed exclusively by our own trained team — we do not subcontract any portion of your project. Full exterior wash, followed by a detailed inspection for rot, cracks, and failing caulk.

All bare wood primed, caulk replaced, and any rot repaired before color application.

Two-Coat Application

Premium 100% acrylic latex applied in two full coats for maximum coverage and durability.

Trim & Detail Work

All trim, shutters, doors, and accent elements finished by hand for precision edges.

Can you match my existing exterior color?

Yes. We can color-match any existing paint using a spectrophotometer reading. Bring us a paint chip or we can take a reading directly from your siding.

Do you repair wood rot before painting?

We handle minor wood rot repairs as part of our exterior preparation process. Significant structural rot is referred to a licensed carpenter before we proceed with painting.
