Michael Caruso founded Prime Finish Painters with one conviction: that a paint job should be invisible — not in the sense that it disappears, but that it looks so right, so perfectly suited to the home, that you never notice the work itself. You simply notice how good the space feels. Growing up in Monmouth County, Michael spent summers helping his father restore Victorian-era homes along the Jersey Shore, learning that preparation is everything.
A rushed coat over a poorly primed surface will fail within two seasons. A properly prepared surface, sealed and primed with care, will hold its finish for a decade or more. That lesson has shaped every project Prime Finish has taken on since 2009.
Today, Michael leads a team of eight licensed painters serving homeowners and commercial clients across Monmouth, Ocean, and Middlesex counties. Every estimate is conducted personally by Michael or a senior team member. Every project is inspected before the final walkthrough.
Prime Finish does not subcontract its work..
We spend more time preparing surfaces than most painters spend on the entire job. That is why our finishes last.
Shoe covers, drop cloths, daily cleanup, and a final walkthrough before we leave. Every time.
Every estimate is itemized. No surprise charges. No upsells on the day of the job.
If any finish we apply fails within two years under normal conditions, we return and fix it at no charge.
